In March 2024, the SMART ERA project has been represented during the Smart Community Project Meeting hosted by Regione Autonoma Valle d’Aosta. The project got together with other innovative minds, all working towards a sustainable future. Speakers at the event presenting SMART ERA included Gianluca Lentini, Researcher and Project Manager for Climate Change and Environmental Projects at Poliedra – Politecnico di Milano, and Matteo Gerosa, the SMART ERA’s coordinator, head of Project Management Group at the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK).

The meeting brought together the Smart CommUnity project from Alpine Space, the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme, More than a Village project, and SMART ERA, finding significant common ground for joint initiatives and mutual understanding. During the event, over 200 students of Montagna 4.0 FutureAlps shared their ideas on the future of mountain regions.

The gathering was a great opportunity to share ideas and strategies, perfectly aligning with SMART ERA’s goal to boost digital transformation and sustainability in rural areas. By participating in these forward-thinking initiatives, we strengthen our networks and develop solutions that benefit our communities.

Our participation underscores our commitment to using technology and community collaboration to create a more sustainable and connected world. The connections and insights gained at this event are key to driving the success of the SMART ERA project.
