The second EU Rural Innovation Forum (EU-RIF), which will take place in Jonava, Lithuania, on 5–6 May 2026, will review the progress, experiences, and lessons learned from planning and implementing Smart Villages in the Baltic region. The event will showcase practical examples and consider how these initiatives can be improved in the future.
Organised under the Horizon Europe FUTURAL project, the event will provide valuable networking opportunities by bringing together stakeholders from rural ecosystems, innovation networks, policymakers, implementers, EU-funded R&I projects and organisations, and entrepreneurs. The aim is to support capacity building and expertise sharing in the area of smart, community-led innovation.
