On 22 April 2026 at 2 pm CET, a free online webinar will introduce the Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) programme, co-funded by the European Union through EIT Food and delivered by Esade.

The programme supports women founders at every stage of their entrepreneurial journey, helping turn early ideas into resilient and scalable businesses across the agrifood sector.

This year, EWA is offering two tailored, hybrid programmes. Module 2 (Grow): Spain is designed for early-stage ventures focused on resilient agriculture, short supply chains and diversified proteins, with final grants of €10,000 and €5,000.

Module 3 (Advance): European is open to registered startups with commercial traction from across Europe, and includes training on corporate and investor readiness, pitching to top-tier VCs and grants of €20,000 and €15,000.

The webinar is an opportunity to meet the coordinating team, learn more about eligibility and benefits, and understand how the programme can accelerate the journey of women entrepreneurs in food and agriculture.

For SMART ERA, which works with rural communities across six European pilot regions, this is a valuable opportunity to share with women entrepreneurs, rural associations and local networks in our territories, from agrifood clusters to female entrepreneurship communities.
