Welcome back to the SMART ERA newsletter!

A lot has happened since we last spoke.

• We held our plenary meeting in Trebinje, Bosnia and Herzegovina. On our last day, we took the opportunity to visit this wonderful pilot area.
• The European Commission has praised SMART ERA in its latest report on the implementation of macro-regional strategies (!).
• We have interviewed our partner Gianluca Lentini from Poliedra, responsible for the new smartness assessment methdology for rural areas (SESAM).
• We have created a SMART ERA community on Zenodo where we have uploaded all our communication materials, public deliverables, and articles published so far — take a look!
• We have attended a range of international events.
• We are exploring new synergies, e.g. with the INSPIRE project.
