The 7th International Rural Tourism Congress, held alongside the 9th European Congress on Rural Tourism, will take place from 6 to 9 May 2026 on the island of Rab, Croatia. The event will bring together around 400 participants from the public and private sectors, with the aim of strengthening the connection between theory and practice in rural tourism development.
Under the theme “Creative Transformation of Rural Tourism: Sustainability, Digitalisation, Inclusiveness”, the congress will feature a dynamic programme of workshops, round tables, and networking opportunities, addressing key topics such as innovation, sustainability, gastronomy, digitalisation, and inclusiveness.
This event will serve as an important platform for shaping the future of rural tourism in Europe, highlighting its role in environmental protection, preservation of local traditions, and sustainable regional development.
